Taylor Swift looks to be back in her Reputation era.

The "Anti-Hero" singer showed up to the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday, Sept. 12 looking like she stepped straight out of 2017. Specifically, Swift, 33, sported a black, floor-length number that featured gold buttons throughout and was very reminiscent of her edgy era following album No. six.

We weren't the only ones to think so, as several Swifties called out the dark number on X (formerly known as Twitter). "IT'S GIVING REPUTATION OMG," one fan declared.

Another chimed in, "Reputation Taylor's Version is on its way." A third wrote, "so reputation coded."

The gorgeous gown was paired with layered gold necklaces, black strappy heels and a curly braided hairstyle with her bangs hanging out in front.

Going into Tuesday's award show ceremony, Swift led the nominees with a total of eight nods, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Direction, Best Pop and Song of the Year, the latter two of which she was named the winner.

While going up on stage to accept her first award of the night, Swift was presented her Moon person trophy by none other than NSYNC, who reunited for the first time in 10 years to present the award for Best Pop Video.

As the iconic boy band gave Swift her award—plus a couple friendship bracelets—the "Bejeweled" songstress called the group "pop personified" after gushing about members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass.

"To receive this from your golden pop hands is really—it's too much," she told the group, adding, "Thank you for the friendship bracelets."

As she continued, Swift declared her love for pop music, but noted that she loves "slinking around" between different genres as well. "The only reason I'm allowed to do that is because you the fans gave me the opportunity to do that," she continued, while also telling her fans, "I just love you for it."

Swift later took the stage again, delivering another speech while accepting the award for Song of the Year for her hit track, "Anti-Hero."
