The Fourth of July is officially for the girls only after Taylor Swift blessed us with tons of pics of herself alongside Selena Gomez, Haim, and a number of other friends celebrating the holiday. Ahem, witness:

The singer—who is busy in the middle of her Eras Tour AND out here dropping the rerelease of her Speak Now album (!!!)—shared the series of images, which included her lounging on the grass with her friends, drinking wine, and overall living her best life. She captioned the post, “Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies 😎 See you tonight Kansas Cityyy,” which referenced the city she’ll be performing in tonight. (If you think I’m not out here looking for flights to get there by tonight right at this moment, think again!)

Tay’s latest rerelease was announced back on May 5 in an Instagram post that quite literally broke the internet and has clocked in just under 11 million Likes to date:

“It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing…and living to speak about it,” the singer wrote in the announcement, which also revealed there are six extra songs from the vault included in the rerelease.

Fast-forward to yesterday—aka a day before the album was set to drop—and many eagle-eyed fans thought John Mayer’s Instagram Story was linked to its release after he posted a photo of the lights from his recent Colorado show with drones that spelled out “please be kind.”

Honestly, everyone could be reading into it, but ahead of performing “Dear John” for the first time in 11 years during her June 24 show in Minneapolis, Taylor herself got candid and asked fans not to come for John Mayer...without saying his name, obvi. “I get to stand on the stage every single night of this tour and watch the most beautiful things happen,” she said. “Like, I watch you guys make friends with each other. I watch you bond. I watch you to give each other friendship bracelets. I see so many beautiful interactions happen and I hear so many stories about friends that were made at these shows and I watch it happen every night. It’s the most unbelievable thing to watch. And so I was hoping to ask you that as we lead up to this album coming out, I would love for that kindness and that gentleness to extend on to our internet activities.”

BRB, blasting this song and the rest of the new album until further notice!
