Taylor Lautner's Wife Tay Reveals One Thing That Helps Her Feel Less 'Nervous' About Having Kids

While Taylor Lautner‘s wife Tay says kids will be in the couple’s future at “some time at some point,” the pair is still warming up to the idea of becoming parents.

During a conversation with Us Weekly on Saturday, Tay confessed, “Sometimes we get a little nervous.” She explained that it’s of utmost importance to her and the Twilight Saga star to prioritize mental health when raising children — and that she’s aware of how complex that journey will be. “How do we raise kids [who] are going to be able to speak up for themselves or feel like they can talk to us about this? It scares me,” she admitted.

Though she feels overwhelmed by the prospect of raising children in today’s world, Tay revealed one thing that brings her comfort when thinking about future little Lautners. “I’m very thankful for people like Dr. [Daniel] Amen and a lot of my friends have kids or are just having kids.” She explained, “Getting to watch them walk through it and having the support from people like Dr. Amen to help facilitate independence or whatever it may be is great.”

Amen, an adult and children’s psychiatrist and author of the upcoming book Raising Mentally Strong Kids, recently appeared on the Lautners’ podcast, The Squeeze, to discuss various strategies outlined in his parenting guide. Additionally, the Lautners and Amen have collaborated via their non-profit organizations, The Lemons Foundation and Change Your Brain Foundation, to host events that promote mental health initiatives.

While the Lautners aren’t ready to start a family just yet, Tay said that it is part of their long-term plan. “Definitely [at] some time at some point, there will be [kids],” she told Us.

Taylor and Tay began dating in 2018 after the latter’s sister introduced them. The former actor popped the question in 2021, and the couple married a year later in November 2022.

These celebrities are focused on raising their kids to be good humans.
