The Tatums Were Already Separated for Months
Channing and Jenna Dewan Tatum might have announced they're parting way just last night, but multiples sources told People that the couple had already been separated for months. Channing had also reportedly moved out of their family home in LA, where he lived with Jenna Dewan and their four-year-old daughter Everly.
The breakup news was a surprise coming from a fan-favorite couple, but one source told People that "this has been a long time coming." The pair "really started to grow apart within the last year," the insider added.
In February, Dewan Tatum said their marriage isn't "perfect" an in interview with Health. "We’ve always had the same values," she said. "But we’re not perfect! Are you kidding? We fight like other couples, we disagree about things, we have days where we don’t really like each other."
The duo first met on the set of the film Step Up, which they starred in together, in 2006. They said "I do" in 2009 and welcomed their only child together three years later. Their last public appearance together was at the Kids Choice Awards just last week. Everly even tagged along for the event.
The couple announced their split last night with a statement on Instagram and Twitter:
"First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for.
