Raise your hand if you’ve ever purchased a beauty product packaged in a jar and found a mini spatula or spoon like tool included in the box. “What’s the point of that,” you probably asked yourself before tossing it in the garbage. (I’m guilty of throwing away many “beauty spatulas” over the year, until I spent two and a half days with press-on Adele-length nails and learned the real importance of this tiny tool.) Turns out, when it comes to product in jars, this tool is essential to keeping the formula free from bacteria that can be carried on your hands when applying — so don’t throw it out! But also, it’s easy to misplace this little guy, which is why Tatcha’s new Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate ($110) is amazing. It comes equipped with a tiny elastic on top of the jar for you to slide your spatula back into after use. Oh, and the actual serum? It’s amazing too.
The product is formulated with Tatcha’s signature Hadasei-3 Bioactive Complex, made with Okinawa red algae (the ingredient is known for its ability to retain moisture and enhance skin’s barrier function).
