Taste wines, talk books at Lincolnwood Library event Friday evening

Lincolnwood Public Library cardholders can enjoy a soiree Friday evening at at “Literature & Libations: A Book & Wine Tasting” from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Cardholders must be 21 or older and register on the library’s website by Thursday night. Library officials said in a news release that library staff will be available at tables grouped by book genre, ready and willing to have conversations about that genre. The wines are being donated.

“What excites me most about bringing this program to Lincolnwood Library is the opportunity for staff and patrons to make personal connections in a more intimate setting beyond our typical day-to-day interactions,” said Colleen Melone, Deputy Director. “It is a time for everyone to enjoy themselves and the library while having deeper conversations about the books we all love.”

Residents without library cards are invited to register for a card in advance, either in person or online (https://www.lincolnwoodlibrary.org/cards-checkouts). Staff will be onsite during the event to facilitate card registrations.
