Get a Taste of the Magic of Morocco With This Backyard Bash

Inspired by the rich colors and textures of Morocco, Kat Tanita of With Love From Kat dreamed up the ultimate backyard bash for her sister's engagement. This bohemian soiree designed by Layne Kula comes filled with poufs, floral ice infused cocktails and a seriously gorgeous food spread. If you have Morocco on your travel list, get a little taste of the magic through the lens of Jessica Alexander.

For her sister’s recent engagement, fashion and lifestyle blogger Kat Tanita wanted to throw her sister a moroccan inspired soiree for her closest family and friends. On a gorgeous spring day in Venice Beach, California, the With Love From Kat team designed and produced an epically curated, bohemian party that was as gorgeous as could be.

Inspired by the rich textures and patterns of morocco, Kat’s vision was born from her love of vibrant colors and bold, rich florals. we sourced specialty lanterns and metallic accents, layered vintage rugs and moroccan poufs, and gathered copious amounts of varying citrus to make a statement.

Fresh florals like ranunculus, dahlias, two-toned roses, peonies, and strawflowers were gathered in vintage julep cups for a pop of silver. Bold, patterned china was accented with marigold linens and brass flatware bundled together with leather twine for an earthy look.

Patterned glassware, statement peacock chairs, and a fully-stocked bar cart with floral ice and ingredients for fresh, specialty cocktails gave guests plenty to talk about.

And who could forget the food? Catering whipped up an amazing mediterranean-inspired menu featuring an array of fresh salads, overflowing platters of charcuterie and crudite, and a delicious blood orange cornmeal cake.
