Shape Tape Full Coverage Concealer

This OG concealer is an icon for a reason. It offers excellent matte coverage that’s perfect for a full face of makeup or to wear by itself. If you have oily or combination skin, this is a wonderful option to reach for. I can see why it’s a holy grail for so many people, as it truly is a full-coverage concealer. It doesn’t take much product to cover dark spots or imperfections, and it blends well. However, if you’re like me and don’t like a true matte look, this might not suit you. I found the original Shape Tape Concealer to be the most mattifying out of all three, and because of that, it’s not something I would use every day. I would reach for it only if I was doing a full face of makeup for a special event or needed it to last for a full day.
Shape Tape Radiant Medium Coverage Concealer

Now, the Radiant Shape Tape is my absolute favorite! I have combination skin, but during the winter, I find it to be more dry than anything. I’m not fond of wearing anything that’s really matte right now because it makes me feel washed out. The Radiant concealer is hydrating and the most skin-like option out of the three. It’s made with plenty of moisturizing and hydrating ingredients, like hyaluronic acid, seaberry seed and fruit oil, and prickly pear, that take this beyond a basic complexion product. However, it is medium coverage, so you do have to build it up if you want to conceal more blemishes — thus, using more product. But I don’t mind. It’s the perfect option for a no-makeup makeup look I wear almost every day.
Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer

The Ultra Creamy version of Shape Tape is a wonderful product for so many reasons. As a major fan of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, I was shocked to see how similar the two are. The Ultra Creamy Concealer offers the same full coverage as the original Shape Tape but is a little more moisturizing than the original. It has a bit of a glow to it, but not as much as the Radiant version — I would say it’s a nice in-between option. It’s also formulated with a ton of moisturizing ingredients and a built-in eye cream. I think it’s a great option to wear directly under your eyes, but if you have oily or combination skin, you might want to stick with the original Shape Tape everywhere else on your T-zone.
