Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer. And if you’re prepping for your annual family barbecue or are in need of a new American flag to hang, you’ll likely find yourself taking a trip to your local Target.

But is Target open during Memorial Day weekend?

While Memorial Day is recognized as a federal holiday, Target locations across the U.S. will remain open throughout the holiday weekend, operating with regular hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. You will be able to head in to your local store to pick up all of your essentials, from groceries to decor. There may be slight variations in each location’s hours of operation, so always be prepared to check in with your nearest store to verify its hours.

What other stores are open on Memorial Day?

If don't live close to a Target, these stores will also be open:

  • CVS: Most stores are open 24 hours. Please call ahead for pharmacy schedule.

  • Kroger: Hours vary based on location.
