Target's New $40 'Comfortable' Raffia Wedges Are So Similar to a Designer Brand's Style Almost 9x the Price

Raffia is really in right now for spring and summer wardrobes. Whether it’s used in purses or shoes, raffia screams “Warm weather chic!” and Target is running with it. We just wrote about their raffia Tia Mule Heels by A New Day, but they have a ton of new heels and slide sandals made with the fun material. Their latest raffia wedge is a fun take on the trend and looks so similar to a designer brand’s style (which is almost nine times the price, mind you).
Target’s newest raffia design is Wild Fable’s Women's Charlene Raffia Wedge Heels. They’re currently on sale for $32—through Mother’s Day weekend—but they’re usually $40, which isn’t bad considering the alternatives. It only comes in cream, which consists of a light-colored raffia on the wedges and a thick white strap around the front of the foot. They’re a cute wedge style, with a curved heel, almost like something you’d see on a Bratz doll.

Women's Charlene Raffia Wedge Heels - Wild Fable Cream, $40 (on sale for $32) at Target
As stated before, the raffia on these shoes on the exterior of the wedges in a woven texture. It has a cushioned insole for comfort and the thick strap is faux leather. They’re slip-on wedges and have a 3.5-inch heel.
Even though these just dropped recently, they already have four 5-star ratings and a couple of positive reviews.
“Do not second guess buying this!” one exuberant shopper wrote in their review. “Seriously the best pair of wedge sandals ever! Dress it up or down, it’ll go well with anything!! The sole area is also well-cushioned and very comfortable…”

Margo Leather Heeled Espadrille Slide, $350 at Vince
As stated up top, these wedges are not only cute in their own right, but they also look so much like a style by designer brand, Vince. Their Margo Leather Heeled Espadrille Slides have a 2.4-inch heel (compared to Target’s 3-inch heel) and have a similar thick white strap. They’re made with 100% leather and are $350. These are also a classic espadrille style with their braided fiber around the wedge. This gives a similar look to Target’s Charlene wedges but not the same because of their woven design versus braided. Vince’s Margo slides also have a more level silhouette as opposed to Target’s curved, Bratz style.
Whether you’re trying to find a pair of cute wedges for barbeques, brunches or summer date nights, Target’s Women's Charlene Raffia Wedge Heels are a pretty good choice. Especially when they look high-end without the high price tag.
