We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: cargo is the moment. From cargo pants to cargo-style skirts, cargo is in and, honestly, we’re here for it. And if you shop in the women’s section, there’s a lot to celebrate with this cargo trend, the biggest being the pockets! We never get enough pocket room, let alone enough pockets, and cargo pants either offer more than two pockets or two extra-large pockets. Target is a big proponent of this trend and they’ve done it again with their newest cargo item: sweat shorts! They’re comfy and look very similar to an Anthropologie style that’s three times the price.

Wild Fable’s new Women's Mid-Rise Cargo Sweat Shorts are currently $16 (on sale for $12.80 online) and are the newest cargo item in Target’s women’s section. While cargo pants and even cargo shorts are nothing new, these are a newer take on the trend. As the title suggests, they’re cargo-style, meaning that they have two large cargo pockets on each thigh. They’re made with a “midweight cotton-blend fabric” of 70% cotton and 30% recycled polyester. They’re also a “relaxed fit” and have a mid-rise “silhouette.”

It comes in three colors—heather gray, light aqua blue and white—and a large size range from XXS through 4X. The shorts also have a fully elastic waistband with a drawstring to adjust. One of the downsides of these being so new is the fact that they don’t have a ton of reviews. However, they do have five ratings so far and they’re all 5-stars. The one review the shorts do have, however, is positive and the shopper is obsessed with how “cute” they are.

“I love these!” the reviewer wrote. “So comfy and flattering[.] So glad they aren’t fleece[.]"

Another nice thing about Target’s cargo sweat shorts is that they are a very similar style to Daily Practice by Anthropologie Cargo Shorts, which are $48. They have nearly the same silhouette and style, with Anthropologie’s maybe having a tad higher rise. In terms of fabric, they’re different; Anthropologie’s shorts are made out of an acrylic and polyester blend. They come in two colors, lime and white, and come in a similar range of styles as Target’s.
