Target Is Selling a $25 Eerily Similar Version of Birkenstock Sandals, and Fans Are Going Wild

While many of us are still shoveling snow or dealing with icy rain (or just rain in general) this time of year, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. While that’s thanks to the days getting longer, spring and summer are just so close we can taste it. And Target just dropped the best accessory for those upcoming warm months (or even for a Spring Break trip you might have around the corner too). If you were looking for Birkenstocks without the Birks price tag, Target’s newest sandals are right up your alley.
Target’s brand, Universal Thread, dropped the new Devin Two Band Footbed Sandals for only $24.99. It’s a slip-on footbed sandal with a contoured footbed, open round toe and adjustable buckle straps.

The sandals come in four colors: black, silver, tan and taupe. While tan and taupe seem like they could be the same color, the tan sandals have silver rivets all along the border of the straps so it gives off an embellished look, while the taupe is a similar color but in the classic “leather” suede strap look. The black and silver are both more of a non-textured “leather” strap material, whereas (again) the taupe has suede-like straps.
The sandal is a lookalike product to Birkenstock’s two-band sandals—the Arizona leather sandal, which starts at $80 if you want the leather ones, or their Birko-Flor sandals, which start at $76.
The Target product already has 13 reviews with a near-perfect 5-star rating. One reviewer wrote that it’s not “too narrow,” though a slightly “weird toe shape” at the top for them. Another commented on how good it is in comparison to Birkenstocks.
"Quality is great for the price. Great Burkes dupe,” they wrote. “The footbed area is definitely not as deep like Burkes, but soft and comfy. The band has a suede like texture, going to spray with shoe protectant so that liquids roll right off."

And another wrote they were a “great Birkenstock alternative,” writing that they were having a hard time spending that much money on sandals, and these were a great copycat choice.
“I wore them around for [a while] after I got home and they’re super comfortable and look great!” they wrote. “Will they last as long as Birks, definitely not, but I could buy 6 pairs of these for the same price so I will take it.
Instagram user @shesattarget posted a Reel showing off these new sandals and commenters seemed to really dig them too. One person commented on how “good” of a “dupe” these were, while another wrote, “Quality is 10/10!!!!”
So it seems like these Target Birkenstock lookalikes are great for any upcoming warm vacation you have, or if you just want to get a head start on spring shopping. It’s never too early to dream of warmer days.
