Whether you’re heading to the tennis court or you just want to look cute while feeling comfortable, tennis skirts and skorts are great bottoms of choice. Tennis skirts have become an athleisure staple because of their versatility. And who doesn’t like to look stylish while working out? Regardless of why you’re looking into workout skorts, Target has a new flowy tennis skirt that’s affordable and a pretty good lookalike version of a Lululemon tennis skirt.

Target just dropped the Women’s High-Rise Flowy Skort by their activewear brand JoyLab and it’s only $24. It has a layered look to the front and it includes shorts with pockets underneath the top skirt. As the name suggests, the skort has a high-rise fit and has a drawstring to adjust the elastic waistband. It’s made from lightweight stretchy fabric “with interlock lining.” The fabric is also 88% nylon and 12% spandex for that nice sweat-wicking, stretchy texture.

The shorts have a 3-inch inseam, so they’re on the shorter side (but not micro-mini based on the photos). The range of sizes isn’t as wide as some of Target’s other products, starting at an XS and going to an XXL. It also comes in three colors: white, black and green (like a light sage green).

Target shopping Instagram account, @shesattarget, posted about these new activewear skirts and gushed about “how cute” they are. And even though the skort only has a few reviews on the site so far, they’re all 5-star.

One review, which titled their blurb with “Lulu for LESS!” (more on that in a minute), called it an “incredible skirt with built-in shorts.”

"I sized up to a large for a better, tighter fit. So girly with the skirt it’s so flowy!!” they wrote. “It’s adorable for workouts and running errands alike. A must-have to get the look for less!!"

Another reviewer called these “one of the best skorts I have ever owned” and another said they “ordered every color” and love how the skirt flares out rather than just being a straight A-line.

Just like one of the reviews already compared it to Lululemon, another wrote that it’s not only “so comfy and easy to move in,” but also “holds up just as well compared to my Lulu and Aritzia skirts.”

While Lululemon doesn’t have an exact lookalike that’s in stock, their Lightweight High-Rise Tennis Skirt ($78) is comparable in terms of style and material. It’s also made from lightweight material—with a similar nylon and elastane makeup in terms of percentages—and comes in white and black. But of course, the Target JoyLab High-Rise Flowy Skort is a fraction of the cost.

And lastly, there’s the Wsirmet Women’s Flowy Shorts which are actually just shorts that are super flow to the point of looking like a skirt. But this pair does still have built-in shorts for full coverage and it comes in so many colors. It also has nearly 6,000 reviews and 4.4 stars. Reviewers call it “stylish and comfortable” and “so soft.”

Whatever your budget is, you can definitely find a flowy tennis skirt that fits well and looks good that works for you. So if Lululemon is not in the budget, Target’s JoyLab brand continues to make good activewear that rivals the competition.

Next up, Target is selling 4-way stretch bodysuits that are so similar to SKIMS and people are loving them.
