Target Is Extending Its Store Hours Ahead Of The Holidays

From Delish

This is a holiday season unlike any other. And while you hopefully have all of your holiday gifts on their way to your home, if you need any last-minute items, Target is extending its store hours leading up to the holidays.

The company confirmed to USA Today and Fox Business that most of its stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight starting this week as customers prepare for the holidays. Previously, most stores had been closing at 11 p.m. Of course, store hours will vary based on location, and you should check the store locator at Target.com/store-locator before heading off to do any in-person shopping. This is with the exception of Christmas Eve, when most stores will close at 8 p.m. as well as Christmas Day when they'll be closed.

USA Today also confirmed that Target is cutting back on its special hours dedicated to people 65 and older, pregnant women, and others in vulnerable populations. In most locations, they'll be trimmed down from two days a week to one. You can likely expect the first hour stores are open on Tuesdays to be dedicated to these at-risk shoppers, but again, check with your local Target for more information.

In order to keep everyone safe, Target also issued some tips for making in-person shopping a bit less risky. These include coming in with a list, using contactless payment options, wearing a mask at all times, shopping alone, and following any signage in the store meant to encourage a flow of traffic and good social distancing.
