Tarek El Moussa Takes Kids to See "Bonus Mom" Heather Rae Young's Hometown

HGTV star Tarek El Moussa took his two children, Taylor and Brayden, to see the California hometown of his fiancée Heather Rae Young over the weekend, where the crew spent time with their bonus mom's family.

"I love being a bonus mom, future step mama!" Young wrote on Instagram. "Watching them grow up in front of my eyes. So loving and so curious about life."

In addition to celebrating the recent birthday of El Moussa, the future family passed their time in Running Springs by enjoying the great outdoors. On Friday, they chartered a small fishing boat on Big Bear Lake, where Taylor caught a rainbow trout. The next day, they shared video from a hike, where Brayden could be seen leading the pack.

"This weekend with [Heather] and the kids has been so much fun!" El Moussa wrote on Instagram, adding the question: "Did you know [she] grew up in a tiny little mountain town!?"

When reflecting on the success of Selling Sunset earlier this year, Young discussed the road from Running Springs to Los Angeles.

"I never thought I'd be filming a reality show at 32 years old," Heather told House Beautiful. "So it's just really surreal for me coming from such a small town, and being very sheltered, and not really knowing much about the industry or knowing much about even real estate to being where I'm at now. I think it's just now hitting me."

Young also recently opened up about her role as "bonus mom" in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

"I give all the mamas props, because being a bonus mom and future stepmom is the hardest job I have ever had," she said.
