Tarek El Moussa Reveals How Heather Rae Young Has Influenced His Real Estate Projects
Heather Rae Young is a good influence on Tarek El Moussa, and that influence has stretched well beyond their home life and into the world of real estate.
"I’ve been getting a lot of influence from her, bringing more of a West Hollywood or Los Angeles vibe to some of the houses I’m doing, instead of doing the standard Orange County remodel," Tarek told The Los Angeles Times in a recent interview.
That could signal more "swank" in the type of houses that Tarek flips. After the design star's first solo show Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa premiered this week on HGTV, it's clear that he's moving on up.
"One thing that’s definitely next on the list for me is developing, remodeling and flipping high-end spec homes," he continued. "So instead of people seeing me buy a $500,000 house, I’d love to see them watch me build a $5-million or $10-million house. You know, just some really cool, unique, crazy houses."
Tarek and Heather's love affair has included a big-ticket birthday present — a Ferrari, no big deal — and jet-setting across Europe for the Thanksgiving holidays. After moving in with Heather, is marriage also on the horizon?
“That is definitely in the future, and right now we’re taking it one day at a time,” an optimistic Tarek told US Weekly. “But everything’s going amazing.”
While Tarek hasn't popped the question just yet, he did officially welcomed Heather into his family with a holiday photo featuring the lovebirds and the kids.
