Last week, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young surprised her fiancé HGTV's Tarek El Moussa (and fans!) with a very special Valentine's gift: a new tattoo. The fresh ink, which was dedicated to her husband-to-be reads "Yes Sir, Mr. El Moussa," a message that baffled many fans after she shared a now-deleted photo of the tattoo to Instagram.

On Wednesday, Young and El Moussa appeared on an episode of E!'s Daily Pop (see above). They dished on their wedding plans, El Moussa's brief stint as a vegan, and (at last!) the meaning behind Young's new ink.

"I did it as something special for my fiancé, my future husband," Young said of the tattoo to host Justin Sylvester and guest host Kym Whitley. "I will be Mrs. El Moussa, so this is my name, and it is a special thing that we do around the house. Daddy is the boss, I'm the queen of the house. We do it with the kids," she explained. (As a refresher, El Moussa shares daughter Taylor, 10, and son Brayden, 5 with ex-wife and Flip or Flop costar Christina Haack.)

Specifically, Young shared that she and the kids will say "yes sir, daddy" or "yes sir, Mr. El Moussa" at home. Meanwhile, "he says, 'Yes ma'am, Mrs. El Moussa,'" she noted, confirming that it was "not at all" meant to be subservient.

Sans that context, fans heavily misconstrued the meaning behind the ink, which is why Young deleted the photo from her Instagram. "I started reading some of the comments and I was like 'take it down,'" El Moussa chimed in.

While the dad-of-two was not a fan of all the negative attention surrounding the photo, he was all for the actual tattoo. When asked what his initial thoughts on the present were, he responded that "it's the best gift I ever got." He expressed how sentimental it was for him. "I think it's special for someone to put a tattoo of our family last name, you know, it's a big deal," he shared. "And she's going to be my wife and she's family, so I was excited."
