Taraji P. Henson Pops in Bright Red Western-Inspired Boots at ‘The Color Purple’ SAG-AFTRA Panel

Taraji P. Henson attended a SAG-AFTRA Foundation conversation for “The Color Purple” held in New York on Tuesday. Henson was joined onstage by her “The Color Purple” castmates Fantasia Barrino and Danielle Brooks.
The “Talk To Me” star sported a pair of bright red calf-high boots. The Western-inspired silhouette featured shiny patent red leather slouchy uppers that transitioned into almond-shaped toes and what appeared to be 3 to 4-inch block heels that offered Henson a conservative boost in height. The footwear provided the thespian’s ensemble with a vibrant and unique pop of color that coordinated with the pre-existing hues found in her dress.

Henson was outfitted in a maxi-length style from Rabanne. The garment was form-fitted and comprised of a funky white and red geometric print set atop a black background that made the graphics pop. Additionally, the dress was long-sleeved and included a slit that ran up the side, stopping just below Henson’s hip. Rounding out her look, the actress sported dazzling jewelry from EFFY Jewelry
The “Hidden Figures” actress has never shied away from a fashion statement, especially on the red carpet. Henson regularly stuns in feathered, pleated and sparkling gowns featuring cutouts, slits and dramatic trains from labels like Alexandre Vauthier, Vera Wang and Giambattista Valli. On the footwear front, she often favors Christian Louboutin for tall platform pumps. However, the star is also known to wear slingback heels, over-the-knee boots and strappy sandals from brands like Valentino, Jimmy Choo and Pedro Garcia.
“The Color Purple” is a 2023 reimagined version of the 1985 film directed by Steven Spielberg. The film is directed by Blitz Bazawule and features a star-studded cast including the likes of Halle Bailey, Fantasia Barrino, Corey Hawkins, Danielle Brooks, Ciara, Taraji P. Henson and H.E.R., among others.
