Tanner Fletcher RTW Spring 2024

Designers Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell’s collection further showed their ability to create nostalgic, vintage-inspired styles that resonate with a wide range of today’s consumers.

The Tanner Fletcher designers, who are finalists for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, leaned into their Victorian aesthetic for spring, creating a lineup that ranged from ‘90s rom-com styles to bridal pieces to the designer’s signature Upper East Side-meets-Bushwick vibe. They presented their collection in a beauty pageant-like setting, where models were introduced by an emcee and took the runway to show their personalities, as well as the brand’s collection.

“We really take a touch from multiple eras,” Richie said. “We don’t just stick to Victorian or ‘70s. We take a little bit of our favorite pieces from everything because I think when you say nostalgic, people are like, ‘what era are you talking about?’ It’s really just a feeling. We just want you to feel like this gives you a little warm feeling.”

As the brand has been a new destination for bridalwear, Tanner Fletcher’s spring collection offered more pieces in the category that leveraged its already tried-and-true codes. These styles included new takes on the brand’s signature bow-embellished suit, ethereal ruffled pieces and different ways to style a garter belt, which the designers highlighted as a key look this season.

The designers balanced a vintage and modern vibe with Victorian-style floral prints and ruffles on flowing blouses and slinky dresses. Standouts included sequined dresses utilizing a soft purple floral print, a dusty purple slipdress and knitwear featuring crocheted florals.

The collection overall showed Tanner Fletcher’s ability to create refined and elevated vintage-inspired clothing that feels modern and timely.
