Tana Mongeau Just Opened Up About All the Drama That Led To Her Split From Jake Paul
Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau broke up earlier this year after dating for five months.
In the new episode for Tana's reality show, she opens up about the drama that ended the relationship.
Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul's relationship has been confusing from the start, but two months after their split, we finally may have gotten a definitive answer as to what lead to the pair's breakup.
In the newest episode of Tana's reality show, MTV No Filter: Tana Mongeau, we see Tana struggle with her relationship with Jake as she talks to her manager about the weird nature of the relationship. While Tana's career did see a bump following her marriage, she still wasn't happy.
"It's very weird to be like this is the most succesful I've ever been in my career, but that doesn't mean it's equivalent to happiness," she said. "My relationship is my business life, which sucks."
Later in the ep, Tana heads to the supermarket with her friend Ashley, where things really get real. Tana explains that for the past five months, pretty much since they got married, Jake has been living two hours away, training for his boxing match.
"Jake's in a very different place of life than where he was when I fell for him and I feel like he just doesn't have time for me anymore," she said. "I feel like Jake has been slowly—from the moment I met him—transforming into a different person. But it's like now I'm sitting here like eight months in or whatever like, 'I don't even f*cking know you anymore.'"
Of course, this feeling prompted Tana to make a YouTube video at the end of last year where she opened up about her relationship and her mental health. "I am so unhappy with the way my relationship with Jake looks in the public eye," Tana said in the 40-minute YouTube video titled "the truth about everything."
Well, apparently, Jake wasn't too happy about that video, and it led to a lot of issues in their relationship, including a two-hour long fight over the phone where Tana said she was, "scream crying."
"Obviously a video like this doesn't make my relationship look too good and I didn't expect to be fighting with Jake over it, but it's clear that we just don't see eye to eye on it."
She also revealed that the comments she sees about her relationship make her question things.
"Obviously when thousands of people are commenting like, 'what are you doing sis? You look so dumb,' there is validity to that. You begin to look in the mirror and be like, 'Damn, do I look dumb?'
Finally, we see Tana head over to where Jake is training and end things with him. She admits that she regretted splitting with him for a second, but then she saw the interview where he said he fell out of love with Tana and "in love with boxing."
"It's just sh*tty to hear, I guess," she said before admitting that she still loves him.
Of course, now we know that the pair, while split up, are on better terms, so it seems like ending things was the best course of action here, but it's still hard to see our girl Tana hurt like that.
