Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul Are Apparently Engaged

In a tweet shared early Monday morning, June 24, YouTubers Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau announced their engagement. Tana shared the news in a series of posts to her Instagram Story, showing off a white cake, which Jake used to pop the question.

The pair made the engagement official on Tana's 21st birthday. For her part, Tana live-tweeted the experience, writing "JAKE JUST PROPOSED" and then "i’m....... engaged..................." She later disputed claims that the engagement wasn't real, and retweeted a number of her Instagram Stories posted by fans on Twitter.

News of the engagement comes after a February split between Tana and Bella Thorne. On June 6, Tana had asked Bella to take her back over Twitter, which had confused fans, given the recent speculation that Tana had started dating Jake. However, Bella had previously spoken about the fact that she was in an open relationship with Tana and former partner ModSun, saying, "Yeah, we joke around about poly, but we aren’t in the sense that we don’t put a word, a box or label too many things. It is what it is."

Jake, meanwhile, has a history of online controversies — he had been linked to Erika Costell in the past. However, he later confirmed that his relationship with Erika was fake, saying, "We’re not even actually dating. It’s like the WWE," he said. "People know that’s fake, and it’s one of the biggest things of entertainment."

It would appear, based on Tana's confirmation of the engagement, that Tana and Jake's potential future nuptials will be for real.
