The Bachelor franchise is reportedly working behind the scenes to make changes amid Chris Harrison’s disturbing defense of Rachael Kirkconnell’s racist actions, which he discussed during an Extra interview with Rachel Lindsay.

A source tells People that ABC is working to make “appropriate changes”—and specifically that there is “a lot of work is being done behind the scenes to make the appropriate changes and proper moves going forward with the franchise.”

It’s unclear what exactly this means, but “there are talks happening regarding Chris Harrison and his future with the show.”

Chris has temporarily stepped aside and won’t host The Bachelors upcomingAfter the Final Rose” special, but many fans and Bachelor Nation cast members say he should be removed as host of the show permanently.

Here’s to hoping ABC listens to its cast and fans alike and makes tangible changes—including in the casting/vetting process.
