Strictly Come Dancing contestant and fan favourite Dr Ranj Singh has spoken about the budding relationship between fellow dancers Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell.

"Joe and I live in the same building. He's my neighbour,"said Singh. "I may have already noticed some things before it was official. They did rehearse a lot together..."

Singh was speaking on the final episode of the Telegraph's Talking Strictly podcast, which you can listen to in the player below by logging in or registering.

After becoming a runner-up on the 16th series of the show, Sugg appeared to confirm his relationship with his dance partner on Instagram the day after Saturday's grand final.

"Joe and Dianne and Janette and I used the same studio to train in. We'd turn up and there'd be red hair extensions left on the floor," Singh continues.

"Dianne had red hands on Friday during rehearsals - maybe she had been dying Joe's hair?"

Ranj also spoke about what happened to the glitterball trophy when the cast of 2018 celebrated Stacey and Kevin’s win on Saturday night, and reveals that everyone was dancing to Steps songs in Faye Tozer’s honour. On Tozer, he said:

"Faye didn't shy away from her [dance] past or for her love for the show. She was working really hard and loving every minute of it. If she doesn't have a huge career on the stage now, I will be shocked."

Also on Talking Strictly, alongside host Rachel Ward, last year’s finalist Debbie McGee, and the Telegraph’s Chrissy Amer and Jess McAree, the panel dissect the showdances and look back at their memorable moments from this series.
