Who is Candace Cameron Bure's husband?

Valeri "Val" Bure is a former NHL hockey right-winger. Bure played in the NHL for 10 seasons. His older brother, Pavel, also played in the NHL and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. The two brothers played together for a brief time with the Florida Panthers. They were also teammates during the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics.

The Brothers Bure hail from Russia and come from a family of athletes. Their father was a medal-winning Olympic swimmer and their paternal grandfather was a goalkeeper on the national water polo team.

The Bure family also has a long history of watchmaking and has made precision watches for the Russian tzars for almost a century.

After injuries and a decision to spend more time with his wife and children led to his retirement from hockey in 2005, Bure now operates Bure Family Wines with his wife. He modified the Russian Imperial seal his great-grandfather used to stamp on his watches for the company's label.

Val and Candace were introduced by Cameron's Full House co-star, Dave Coulier, at a charity hockey game. The two married on June 22, 1996.

She has starred as the lead in TV films Home Sweet Home and The Farmer and the Belle.

Candace Cameron Bure posted this mother-daughter lookalike photo to Instagram to celebrate Natasha's birthday last year.

Lev Bure

Born on February 20, 2000, Lev plays hockey like his father. In May 2018, he became a preacher at Shepherd Church in Los Angeles. At the time, his mom posted this proud mama moment to Instagram.

Lev got engaged to Taylor Hutchison in August 2020 but the two broke off their engagement. Bure told Us Weekly that her son was "no longer getting married" in April 2021. “It was a mutual decision, so nobody’s upset and heartbroken,” she explained.

Maksim Bure

Maksim, who was born on January 20, 2002, is a hockey prospect but recently headed off to college. His mother recently posted this to Instagram. She's clearly very proud of her children.

What's up next for Candace Cameron Bure?

Bure made big news in April 2022, when she announced that she had signed a deal to make content for GAC Family. As part of the deal, she will take on a prominent role at the company and oversee the network's year-round faith-filled content and the annual Great American Christmas franchise.

In November 2022, Bure landed in hot water after telling The Wall Street Journal that Great American Family will not spotlight gay couples in leading roles. Bure, who abandoned Hallmark Channel for the newish Bill Abbott-led Great American Family and serves as the network's chief creative officer, told the WSJ network “will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
