Sheryl Underwood is celebrating a major milestone.

During Friday's episode of The Talk, the co-host and TV personality marked her 59th birthday by debuting a head-turning new look in a form-fitting purple dress and a pair of red heels. What's more, she took the opportunity to reflect on the progress she'd made throughout her health and weight loss journey.

"This is my birthday body," she said in an emotional moment on the long-running CBS daytime TV show. "As you all know, I've lost 95 pounds and I've made significant life changes. I was not healthy, and I want to live a long, long time and I want to be sitting on this stage a long, long time."

She continued: "I worked hard with my doctors. I did what I needed to do, and I just wanted to be able to put on a very stylish, but clingy dress to symbolize all the work that I put in."

Making the moment even more special, Sheryl then announced she was going to make personal history on The Talk, of which she's been a co-host for a total of 12 seasons. “Now I’m about to do something that I have never done on this show since I’ve been here on 'The Talk' and I haven’t done it in about 25-30 years," she told the audience. "I’m about to cross my legs."

Needless to say, the cheers from the audience were deafening as Sheryl showed off the never-before-seen pose. But The Talk fans also made sure to show their support for her outside of the studio, flooding the comment section of the clip posted by The Talk's Instagram account with encouraging and loving messages for the television host.

"You are beautiful at any size but man! You look FABULOUS IN THAT SOPHISTICATED PURPLE DRESS!!" one person wrote. "So so proud of you," another added."Dang girl, 95+ lbs is such an achievement. You look HOT girl. Goals met!!" a different fan said.

Of course, Sheryl's colleagues also showed their support in the comments. "So proud Sheryl! You will inspire so many!!" The Talk co-star Natalie Moraleswrote. "Happy Birthday 🎂🎉🎈," added Akbar Gbaja-Biamila.

Later opening up about the emotional moment in an interview with People, she said that she had "worked really, really, really hard" to lose the 95 pounds. She revealed to the outlet that she initially began by working with a personal trainer and dietician — but didn't truly see the "impact" she wanted to see until she started making significant lifestyle changes, on the advice of her doctors.

In regards to the gorgeous purple dress and red heels that she donned for the show, Sheryl admitted that she went through about 10 different dress options before landing on that perfect look.

"I wanted a dress that really showed the work that I've put in this and to show the audience and the world, 'You can do it too.' Pick a dress, pick a suit, that is your goal, and work toward that goal," she explained.

The TV personality then went on to say that she "felt amazing" in that emotional moment in which she crossed her legs, explaining that for her, her weight loss and health goals were all about looking and feeling good in her own skin.

"If I've worked hard on my body, I want to walk into church and all them saints fanning like, 'Oh, she look good.' I want to walk into my office, 'Oh my gosh, she look good.' I want to walk into the club or the restaurant and everybody's head turn and that's what I want," Sheryl said. "That's how I feel, because when you look good, you feel good."
