The Talk cohost Amanda Kloots is dating again, and she will not be judged for it.

On Friday, the TV personality revealed that she has started to date again more than a year after her late husband, stage actor Nick Cordero, died from COVID-19 complications. The two first met on the set of the Broadway musical Bullets over Broadway and tied the knot in September 2017. Almost two years later, they welcomed a son named Elvis in June 2019.

"We became friends first, then we got married," Amanda explained on the show. "Obviously with Nick, we had a child. I’ve never actually had to date. And I just started dating again and it is so crazy to be dating for the first time at 39 years old. And it’s quite terrifying and really out of your element, and it’s just, it’s hard. It is hard.”

Fellow cohost Elaine Welteroth then asked her how it was going, and Amanda shared that while it’s been a positive experience, it hasn’t been easy putting herself out there.

“It’s all wonderful,” she added. “It’s wonderful people I’m meeting, and it’s been a great process so far but I would say it’s very hard, without getting into too many details. It’s very hard.”

Shortly after, the fitness trainer took to her Instagram Story to address an Instagram comment she received about her personal news. “That was fast,” it read.

“How dare you judge anyone especially someone going through this process,” Amanda wrote in response. “There’s too much to say and too much that widows deal with to not talk about it. Until then I will call out anyone who is rude enough to comment like this.”

The mother of one has been open about her grieving process after Nick battled COVID-19 for 95 days. In June, she released a memoir with her sister, Anna Kloots, titled Live Your Life: My Story of Loving and Losing Nick Cordero. Ahead of its release, Amanda spoke to Yahoo! Life’s The Unwind about the possibility of one day meeting someone special.

"I am totally open to finding love again," she said. "I love love. I love being married. I love being in a relationship. I love having a companion. I would love to have somebody in Elvis's life that would be that male figure for him.”

She continued: "I know Nick would want that for me. I know that because I would want that for him, if the tables were turned and it was me ... I'm hopeful that there's somebody else out there for me. I really am. And when I'm ready, I hope that Nick brings him to me ... I'm sure he'll have his fingers up in heaven orchestrating something."
