What happens when filmmaker meets actor off-screen? They ski, duh.

Tony Cavalero, or Keefe from "The Righteous Gemstones" ripped it up with none other than Scott Gaffney, perhaps the most well-loved ski filmmaker in Tahoe.

In a post to IG, Gaffney broke the news that Cavalero, or "Keefe shreds @palisadestahoe !?! Yeah, so this happened."

"I was lucky enough to spend today giving @tonycavalero —who brilliantly portrays one of TV’s most hilarious, engrossing and entertaining characters in The Righteous Gemstones—a tour of my home mountain. And he crushed it."

"Stories, smiles, laughs, one quality tomahawk (not by me) and burned thighs as we went almost bell to bell. Kinda surreal, really."

"If you’ve never seen Danny McBride’s hit comedy on HBO, do yourself a favor."

"Thanks for a day fondly and firmly implanted in the memory bank, Tony!"

Today seemed to share the enthusiasm, posting his own recap of the day to Instagram with him and Scott in front of the "Extremely Difficult" trail warning sign and the caption "I think our wives would agree with this sign!"

"What a total PSYCHO cool day skiing with legend @scottgaffski (and pals @damidoo and @blacktieskis_northtahoe ) all over @palisadestahoe "

"We bombed, ripped, poked, splashed (I DID) + shredded! Super surreal to get to hear some tales from Scott's storied career. Super special."

From the looks of it, they may have reverse traversed over to Headwall from Siberia and skied some of the less tracked out terrain over there.

From the sounds of it, they had a blast doing so.

Bummer, it's hard to spot celebrities under their helmet... even with a mullet that epic!
