Stained Glass Cookies Ingredients: 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 3 cups flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, several Jolly Rancher candies, cut into 1/4″ pieces Directions: 1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in egg and beat until well incorporated. Add vanilla and almond extract. Beat until smooth. With mixer on low, add in salt, flour, and baking powder, and mix until dough is uniform. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 25 minutes. 2. Preheat oven to 350. On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into shapes and place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Use a smaller cookie cutter to cut a shape in the center of the cookie.
