Will Kate and Will last? Astrologists give a royal reading

Everything's going to be fine: Kate and Will are astrologically compatible.

One of the benefits of having the wedding of the century is that Britain's leading astrologers will read your horoscope for free. And if readings were measured in thumbs, Will and Kate would get two pointing up. Jay Lucan of British Astrological and Psychic Society says their signs have a high score of "75 per cent" on the "relationship compatibility" chart (that's really good, I think) and Wendy Stacey, chair of the Astrological Association of Great Britain, calls them "soul-mates."

It's a much better diagnosis than Prince Charles (a Scorpio) and Lady Di (a Cancer) got back in 1981, when an astrologer warned in the Associated Press that their signs suggested a "stormy marriage." Will's a Cancer like his mom, which means he's more likely to be guarded and prone to emotion. A classic Capricorn, Kate's more grounded, and comfortable with being the outgoing half of the duo. Their yin-yang combo, according to Stacey, makes them ideal long-term partners.

"Cancers and Capricorns are opposites as water and earth," Stacey explains to the Canadian Press. "As a result, they can read each other very clearly and they have a deep emotional understanding. It's quite a lovely thing."

Just be sure this Stacey character was speaking the truth, I checked Shine's own compatibility chart. Here's what it says about Capricorns and Cancers: "In a Capricorn mate, Cancer finds dedication, and in return Capricorn comes to love Cancer's persistence. These two Signs from opposite sides of the Zodiac can come together to create a very successful and secure connection."

I think we're pretty much set to proceed with the wedding now. Unless Dionne Warwick wants to weigh in...
