Maybe you're getting married and want to give your husband-to-be a very memorable wedding gift. Or perhaps you'd like something special to surprise your boyfriend with that's sure to spice up your relationship. Or you'd like to celebrate yourself with a permanent reminder or how gorgeous you are.

It's a new trend-- more and more women are stripping down and getting glammed up for boudoir photography. Sheryl Warwick is the owner of Warwick Boudoir, a boudoir photography studio. She has some expert advice for women interested in creating their own sexy one-of-a-kind photo session.

GalTime: What is boudoir photography?

Sheryl Warwick: Think of it as an updated version of the 80's glamour shots, but with a sexy twist! Boudoir photography is a chance for a woman to be a supermodel for a day and look like those women we see on TV or magazines.

GT: Who is the "typical" client and why?

SW: Clients range from age, size, shape, ethnicity etc. There might not be a "typical" client, but women leave feeling empowered, beautiful and sexy.

GT: Women are generally so self-conscious... would this experience make them feel worse or better?

SW: Every woman has a "problem area" that they are concerned about. It is my job as a photographer to use lighting and posing to highlight their best features. The whole process inspires every woman and they get to keep their images as a reminder of how hot they really are.

GT: What advice do you have for women trying to find a reputable studio?

SW: When looking for a reputable studio, do your research:

1. Check out their website and Facebook page.

2. Research the company using Yelp or Google to give you an indication on what people experienced.

3. Talk to someone who has worked with that studio as a client.

4. Set up a consultation and meet the photographer. Make a list of all the questions you have.

Don't feel bad about feeling nervous, it's only natural to feel that way. This is probably the first time you have ever done anything like this and might be feeling a little unsure. Building a good rapport will help ease your nerves.

GT: What is the reaction when your clients get their photos?

SW: I love the reaction I get-- from not only clients, but their husbands too! Women are often amazed at how well they look. It's great to breath back in some inner vixen in my clients. A typical reaction would be "That's ME?"

GT: What's the line between sexy and "too sexy"...

SW: The line between sexy and "too sexy" is really a personal opinion. Our taste is no nudity unless requested. We like to think sexy is not correlated with revealing.

GT: What price range can people generally expect to pay?

SW: Anything from $150 to $1200 and beyond. You get what you pay for so keep that in mind. I would budget $600 for a proper boudoir shoot.

GT: Anything else to add?

SW: Go book a session! Every woman is hot and in the right hands can find their confidence in front of the lens. A client has never told me they regretted doing a boudoir shoot. It's just getting over the jitters of getting in front of the camera.
