Would you buy the perfume of a celeb you don’t like?
Nearly every big celebrity has her own signature fragrance these days, and a few stand-outs come to mind. With about 18 versions of Glow, Jennifer Lopez may be the reigning queen, with Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers collection trailing closely behind. Beyonce sold 72,000 bottles of Heat at her one-hour in-store appearance and made Macy's $3 million in one month. Rabid fans scoop up Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely and Britney Spears' Fantasy in droves. But there's a new rising perfume star!
Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas launched her debut fragrance, Outspoken, for Avon in May of last year, and it has already become the company's best-selling scent of all time. Per the perfume description, Outspoken is "an outrageously bold expression of iced berry shockingly contrasted with ultra-feminine tuberose absolute and racy black leather." It's also only $28, so if you're in the market for a new bottle of perfume it might be worth testing out.
Personally, we're not huge fans of Fergie, so we feel odd wearing a fragrance with her name on it, but then again we've heard women say Paris Hilton makes great perfumes, so we're going to give it a shot. Would you buy a perfume by a celebrity you don't love?
