9 Eye Makeup Looks You've Never Seen Before

If you're looking for something truly new and unique, then you'll love these looks. Even I was totally impressed (and that's saying something, because I get bored so easily with my makeup). So if you've had enough of this trend (yes it's sexy, but I've been seeing it on everyone and their mom lately), or if you just can't seem to rock this lip color, you've got to try the 9 totally new looks here, or see our top 5 below (which you can thank celebrity makeup artist Taylor Chang-Babain and CoverGirl makeup artist Molly Stern for).

Tip 1:

Wear three different shades of shadow ... at the same time

The possibilities are endless when it comes to combining three different shades, so feel free to get creative. Babaian suggests keeping shades in the same tone (so all softs, or all metallics) so the look stays cohesive. We love that pink, green and gold combo. Tip 2:

Top your eyeshadow with clear lip gloss

I know it sounds weird, but applying clear lip gloss on top of your eye makeup will give you a dewy sheen that's totally different from your usual shimmer or matte look. You can try it on top of any color, or check out Babaian's how-to for this sultry look here.

Tip 3:

Try a colored mascara

It'll give you a whole new lash look by adding a subtle hint of tint and shimmer to your eyes -- and have people wondering what the heck you did to look so bright-eyed. Stern likes COVERGIRL LashBlast Luxe Mascara, $8.99 -- it comes in shades like Cabernet and Emerald and has shimmer too. Or if you want to keep it soft and sophisticated, click here to see which color you should try instead of black.

Tip 4: Think like a butterfly

Babaian says this look was inspired by butterflies -- and she encourages you to get inspired by nature as well. It's a great way to discover cool color combinations that you might not have thought of -- like this purple, blue and white combo. Love it? Tip 5:

Play up your bottom lashes

Who says you should only emphasize your upper lashes? You can create a whole new eye look by pumping up the mascara on your lower lashes or even adding false lashes. To define your lashes without distracting too much, Stern loves using COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion in Brown, $8.99. See Babaian's luscious lash how to here.
