Tacos del Cartel to open in Downtown New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A new Tacos del Cartel location is opening in Downtown New Orleans.
According to a news release, the new location is opening in The Beacon at South Market in the Central Business District “in time for Cinco de Mayo.”

The release states the restaurant will be led by Chef Christian Chaussant and serve up a menu featuring street tacos, mezcal, Tex-Mex dishes and cocktails.
In addition to street tacos, guests can expect to see menu items like burritos, enchiladas and tostadas.

The restaurant will also feature Mexican decor with tropical trees, a patio and a bar.
The release states that the restaurant’s Metairie locations will close for renovations and reopen in the summer.
The new Tacos del Cartel is located at 100 Girod St.
