Taco Fest in Monroe County for Cinco De Mayo weekend

BUSHKILL, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials have announced that Taco Fest is coming to the Poconos this weekend.

According to a release, Pocono Park is hosting Poconos Taco Fest for Cinco De Mayo on May 4.

The celebration of tacos and Mexican culture will have over 20 taco shops, margaritas, tequilas, cocktails, cervezas, music, and live lucha libre wrestling, as stated in the release.

The following are some performances, dancing, and challenges to expect there:

  • Mariachis Soy Mexico

  • Los Master Plus

  • DJ Ruby

  • Folklorico dance performance by Capulli Dance Company

  • Taco-eating contests

  • Hot sauce challenge

  • Bounce house

  • Face painting

  • Horse rides

“I have called the Poconos home for over 20 years but was born in Mexico. I’ve always
loved Mexican culture so I’m excited to partner up with Poconos Park to create and
share a Mexican experience with the community,” says Gil Coronado of GC Productions.

Officials state tickets will start at $15 and are available on Poconos Park website or at the event.
