If you’re as into food trends as we are, then you’ve heard of the walking taco. A “walking taco” is essentially how you can make a delicious taco using your favorite bag of corn chips you have in your house. So can grab your portable taco and hit the town.

We love all food that we can take on the go in our busy lives, and we love it even more if we can make it healthier. So shred some lettuce, chop a few onions and eat where ever you’d like because your lunch is now is tac-go.

The Healthy (ish) Walking Taco

Ingredients:

1 cup Corn Chips
1/3 lbs ground turkey
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 onion (chopped)
1/4 red pepper (sliced)
1/4 green pepper (sliced)
1 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
salt and pepper to taste
Cilantro
1/2 Avocado
Sliced lettuce

Directions:

Fill a bag with corn chips and set aside.

In a skillet, fry up oil and onions over medium heat until onions become translucent. Add turkey and cook until browned. Add in peppers, chili powder, cayenne, and salt and pepper to taste and cook until peppers lose their rigidness.

Remove from heat and pour over corn chips. Chop up a handful of lettuce into thin slices and stir into the bag. Top with slices of avocado and cilantro to taste.
