These Taco Bell Menu Items May Be Out Of Stock Due To National Food Shortages

Over the past year, customers have become familiar with the effects of food shortages. Items like chicken wings and ketchup packets have been a few of the products that have been hard to come by, and now Taco Bell is facing their own shortages which are affecting quite a few menu items.

Taco Bell posted a message on their website that reads: "Sorry if we can't feed your current crave. Due to national ingredient shortages and delivery days, we may be out of some items." According to Taco Bell fans online, things like chicken, beef, tortillas, and hot sauce are all seeing shortages across menus which is impacting tons of menu items. Obviously, items like beef and tortillas are a part of so many of Taco Bell's popular meals so it's presenting a special challenge.

Packaged hot sauces at Taco Bell are one of the items fans are upset about being hard to get. One Twitter user said: "My Taco Bell told me there’s a mild sauce shortage and they ran out. That’s one product shortage too many. Now it’s serious." Although it's likely that the shortage is related to the pandemic because individually wrapped ketchup packages saw a shortage earlier this year as the supply chain struggled to keep up with demand for things like takeout meals.

Taco Bell has not been specific about what items are out of stock where, but the chain did tell CBS the following:

Due to national transportation delays happening throughout most of the industry, we may temporarily be out of some items. Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope to feed fans' current Taco Bell cravings again soon.
