Taco Bell is having quite the month. In just the past week, the Mexican-inspired fast food chain quietly added the Double Decker Taco back on its menus after fierce fan requests—but only until December 20 (so act fast!). It also launched two new menu items: its first-ever Frozen Coffee in three varieties and four varieties of Churro Chillers, a kind of milkshake-like frozen concoction topped with churro crumbles. But those items aren’t widely available. They’re only on the menu for a limited time at select locations in Southern California.

With all the limited offerings, it can get frustrating to be a Taco Bell fan. But there's good news: the chain's newest menu addition, which drops on December 21, will be available nationwide. And, as of now, the restaurant is not using the words “limited time only” with the latest new offering.

Taco Bell Introduces New Double Berry Freeze

Only Californians can try Taco Bell’s Frozen Coffee or Churro Chillers (for now), but everyone will be able to sample the new Double Berry Freeze slushies, a swirled combination of Blue Raspberry and Wild Strawberry Freezes, which are both on Taco Bell’s menu currently. So if you’re looking for something to give you brain freeze this winter, you’ll find it at Taco Bell locations throughout the entire country.

Taco Bell’s menu is completely customizable, according to its website. It encourages customers to “take it to the next level,” including making a request to custom blend its Freeze flavors. The swirled slushie was already an option before it was officially introduced as the Double Berry Freeze. But now the item, which Taco Bell calls a “sweet symphony of taste” that’s “bursting with berry flavors,” doesn’t have to be a special request.

How to Try the New Double Berry Freeze for $1

The Double Berry Freeze comes in two sizes: 16 ounces and 20 ounces. The regular size will cost $3.29 and the large will cost 20 cents more, coming in at $3.49. But, if you head to Taco Bell between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m., the time the restaurant dubs “Happier Hour,” you can get a 16-ounce Double Berry Freeze for just $1. All of Taco Bell’s Freeze flavors are available for just $1 during those afternoon hours (so are all medium fountain drinks, too, for what it's worth). That deal is certainly enough to make us happy.
