Taco Bell’s Cinnamon Twists Are Basically Made From Noodles And My Mind Is Blown

From Delish

Look, I don’t know what I thought Taco Bell’s Cinnamon Twists were made of, but fried noodles would not have come to mind. A TikToker recently shared how the sugary cinnamon snacks are made, and the internet is in complete shock at how they look like rotini noodles before they're fried.

TikToker @071823abcm posted the mind-blowing video that shows what looks like regular pasta being placed into a fryer. While frying for about 40 seconds, the noodles pop to the top of the oil and start to expand into their iconic fluffy form. Once expanded, they’re placed into a tub where they get a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar.

Although they look like your typical noods, hold off on frying the pasta in your cupboard. “While our Cinnamon Twists may have the shape of rotini, you won’t get very far frying traditional pasta at home,” Taco Bell tells Delish: “The twists are a mixture of wheat flour, yellow corn meal, rice flour and salt." Anyone who's curious for more ingredient info can find it at tacobell.com/ingredients.

People are still amazed that Cinnamon Twists start out looking like regular pasta. In the comments, one person thought the treats were made from crispy bread. Others chimed in with clever remarks: “So what you’re telling me is...Taco Bell could move in on the Italian market at a moment's notice and serve pasta,” one user commented.

Truly, the only right situation to compare this transformation to is a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. It’s that beautiful. The more you know!
