Taco Bell’s Beefy Potato Burrito Has Returned for a Limited-Edition Filling Bite

At the beginning of the year, Taco Bell surprised us by announcing the comeback its Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes and Spicy Potato Soft Taco back to its menu. Little did we know that wasn’t the only potato-filled bite the Mexican fast food spot had up its sleeve. We can now welcome the Beefy Potato-rito (and for a steal!).

Beginning on Apr. 15, you can order the Beefy Potato-rito. A warm flour tortilla is loaded with crispy potato bites, signature seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, and chipotle sauce. Of course, you can customize it with added ingredients. According to Taco Bell’s site, popular upgrades include making it vegetarian, adding guacamole, and adding tomatoes.

“If you speak fluent Taco Bell, you know that we’re no stranger to making up classic names. Crunchwrap. Doritos Locos Tacos. Even the Quesarito—a quesadilla perfectly merged with a burrito. But, still, one thing is missing here. There’s no hyphen like in Beefy Potato-rito,” the description says.

We haven’t even gotten to the best part of this epic return: The price. The potato-packed burrito will be available for $1 (!!!) for the limited time that it’s on the menu. If waiting until Apr. 15 seems too far away, Taco Bell Rewards Beta members are granted early access to the Beefy Potato-rito nationwide starting April 5.

Taco Bell took potatoes off of its menu in 2020, due to menu simplification efforts. While they won’t be around forever, at least we can enjoy the American Vegetarian Association (AVA)-certified vegan bites for now.
