At the end of 2017, Taco Bell announced it'd be bringing 20 new $1 items to the menu this year, and four months in, they're making good on that promise. Starting April 5, you'll be able to score a new burrito or nacho dish for just a buck.

Both new buys go under the name "Triple Melt" for obvious reasons: They're loaded with a shredded three-cheese blend plus nacho cheese. They come with seasoned beef, too. If you order the Triple Melt Burrito, everything will be tucked into a flour tortilla. Chefs smother crispy tortilla chips with all that cheese and meat to make the Triple Melt Nachos.

The Bell's also been testing other $1 bites across the country. As of April 5, Oklahoma City residents will be offered a Crispy Chicken Taco - a flour tortilla stuffed with giant chunks of crispy chicken - and people in Chattanooga, TN, can try the Beefy Crunch Burrito starting April 4.

The latter's been on the menu before and proved to be a fan favorite. There's beef, rice, and nacho cheese, and the crunch comes from Flamin' Hot Fritos corn chips - because this is Taco Bell. If it has a successful test run, the rest of the country might get to see it on menus again by 2019. Until then, we'll just be drooling over the South's Instagrams - and consoling ourselves with Triple Melt-everything.
