And they look like cheaper versions of a Starbucks fave.

Remember after the Taco Bell Live Más LIVE event in February when we were all shocked at the sheer amount of new items Taco Bell announced? From the entirely new Cantina Chicken Menu to previously tested items, like the Baja Blast Gelato and Cheez-It Crunchwrap hitting nationwide menus, we didn’t think Taco Bell even had the time to release additional new items. And, yet, the fast food brand just announced its testing yet another all-new menu line this spring.

Taco Bell Testing New Agua Refrescas

For the next five weeks, Taco Bell is testing new Agua Refrescas in Southern California. The beverages have an energizing green tea base and are infused with fruit flavors and mixed with real freeze-dried fruit pieces.

Sound a little familiar? That’s because they’re strikingly similar to Starbucks’ popular Refreshers drinks—even down to the flavor profiles. Starbucks sells a Strawberry Acai Refresher, Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, and Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher. Taco Bell’s Agua Refrescas line will feature most of the same flavors, just with different mix-ins.

The Tex-Mex restaurant is testing Strawberry Passionfruit, Peach Mango, and Dragonfuit Berry beverages while supplies last.

The main difference between Taco Bell and Starbucks’ drinks, is that Taco Bell’s are cheaper. While a Starbucks beverage can run you upwards of $4 or $5, Taco Bell’s 16-ounce Agua Refrescas will cost $3.99.

Similar to its previous frozen coffee and Churro Chillers test, the Agua Refrescas will be available at the 2222 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, California, location. There’s still no word on whether the chillers will make it to menus nationwide, but Taco Bell has already had a few new drinks hit menus this year.

Between the returning Dragonfruit Freeze and new Horchata Cold Brew Latte, the days of going to Taco Bell and blindly ordering a Baja Blast might be over. With these new options to choose from, there’s no telling what your favorite drink could become—though, of course, the Baja Blast will always hold a special place in our hearts. But, hey, we’ll take any new menu item we can get while we await the arrival of the final promised items from February.
