Tabasco Released a New Line of BBQ Sauces and They're Just What You Need This Summer

Some like it hot—and for those who do, we have a very exciting announcement. Tabasco just released its first-ever barbecue sauces!

The hot sauce maker is calling its new line of BBQ sauces "a fiery take on America’s favorite summertime flavors." The sauces come in Original and Honey for those who love classic flavors, and Jalapeño Mesquite and Habanero Jerk for anyone with a more adventurous palate. All of the sauces have varying levels of "kick," but some are pretty mild so even non-spice lovers can enjoy them.

The sauces are $5 each and are available for purchase on the Tabasco website.

Now, here's what you need to know about each of the flavors.

Original

Tabasco describes this one as "a hot take on the All-American BBQ sauce with a signature kick from Tabasco Original Red Sauce." In terms of spiciness, the brand rates it a 2 out of 5.

Honey

This sauce is "sticky-sweet with a smoky finish from Tabasco Chipotle Sauce. Thick and rich, it’s perfect for dipping or slathering on a rack of ribs." In terms of spiciness, this sauce is only a 1 out of 5.

Jalapeño Mesquite

This bold, smoky sauce is also a 1 on the spicy scale. It has the "distinct earthy aroma of mesquite balanced with bright and tangy notes from Tabasco Green Jalapeño Sauce."

Habanero Jerk

Now for the spiciest of the four sauces. This one rates a 3 out of 5 and features a "complex blend of seasoning and spices mixed with the Caribbean-inspired fruit flavors of Tabasco Habanero Pepper Sauce." This sauce is as versatile as it is spicy and pairs well with most meats, seafood, and veggies.

These all sound pretty tasty, and could work on some of Ree's best recipes like Oven-Roasted BBQ Chicken, Spicy Whiskey BBQ Sliders, Instant Pot BBQ Chicken Grain Bowls, and so much more.
