Sydney Sweeney Spotted on Date Night with Fiancé Jonathan Davino Amid Break-Up Rumors

Sydney Sweeney is seemingly putting the rumors to rest.

Over the past week, the internet speculated that the actress and her fiancé, Chicago restaurateur Jonathan Davino, had split. But the couple stepped out together in New York City on Friday, April 28, per photos obtained by The Daily Mail.

The outlet reports that Syd and Jonathan strolled down the street together, dressed in chic, all-black ensembles. As seen in the pics, the pair — who got engaged in February 2022 — exchanged glances and smiled here and there, but were not overly affectionate. In one shot, Jonathan placed his hand on Sydney’s back. This is the first time the engaged couple has been seen together since October 2022 — and since Sydney fueled romance rumors with her Anything But You costar, Glen Powell.

The rumor mill went into overdrive in late April, when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Glen’s longtime girlfriend, Gigi Paris, unfollowed Sydney on Instagram. At the time, Syd and Glen had been in Australia for several months, filming their upcoming rom-com. On-set photos and behind-the-scenes videos between the two co-stars appeared very intimate, and fans couldn’t help but speculate that they took their movie chemistry off-screen.

Then, on April 24, Sydney and Glen attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas to promote Anything But You. The internet took note of their seemingly cozy red carpet photos, and during the event, Sydney revealed her cheeky nickname for Glen (it’s “Top Gun,” btw).

But two days later, a source confirmed to People that Glen and Gigi broke up “weeks ago” and that the split had nothing to do with Sydney. “Gigi only unfollowed Sydney on social media because Sydney never followed her back. This had nothing to do with Glen and Sydney. Gigi is aware that Glen and Sydney never hooked up,” the insider revealed. “He takes his work very seriously and it was tough on the relationship.”

Meanwhile, multiple sources confirmed to TMZ on April 25 that Sydney and Jonathan are still going strong and that the suspected flirtation between her and Glen is apparently “tied to the rom-com.” Noted!
