If you haven't seen the dress that Sydney Sweeney just wore on the red carpet at the 2022 GQ Men of the Year Awards, buckle in, because we're about to change your life. Hint: The actress looked a lot like the sci-fi space explorer she's about to play in her next upcoming movie. 👽

The Euphoria star attended the event, which took place in London's Knightsbridge right by Hyde Park, as one of 25 MOTY honorees — other notable celebrities being recognized included Emma D'Arcy, Andrew Garfield, Jack Harlow, Joseph Quinn, and Zoë Kravitz. The actress was all smiles as she posed for photos in an elegant, tightly-fitted gown with a cutout that reveals a metal breastplate bustier. We've truly never seen anything quite like Sydney's dress — talk about high fashion!

Sydney cut a glamorous, futuristic figure as she posed in her LaQuan Smith Spring/Summer '23 gown styled by Molly Dickson. The actress served high-fashion Morticia Adams energy in her daring look that consisted of a fitted, floor-length black skirt with an asymmetrical train draped to the side. The stretchy fabric continues up the gown to create a singular long sleeve and a shoulder-hugging bolero-style top with a mock neckline covering Sydney's shoulders and collarbone.

But don't be mistaken, Sydney was more of a knight in shining armor than a damsel in distress, thanks to the metal corset peeking out of a chest cutout in her otherwise demure gown. Her dress boasted a silver breastplate/bustier that looked like ~haute couture~ armor and we're living for the subtle matching details that she incorporated into her look with her accessories.

Gold has been having such a moment for the past few years but Sydney is casting her vote for edgy, cool silver. The White Lotus actress chose an assortment of silver rings and grey, cracked mirror nails to match her silver breastplate and earrings.

Sydney added yet another metallic detail to her look with a flicked, feline cat-eye liner topped with a streak of space-age silver. The rest of her makeup was relatively simple to let the graphic eyeliner take center stage — a matte nude lip, a structured blonde-brown brow, and blush, foregone in favor of a warm bronzer over her cheeks. When it comes to her hair, you can easily recreate the easy bun Sydney wore by securing your hair into a ponytail and then maneuvering the ponytail into a ballerina bun before twisting the ends around the base and pulling out a face-framing piece on the left side.

This futuristic, space-ready look was the perfect way to kick off Sydney's Barbarella era as the actress prepares to film the remake of the classic 1986 sci-fi film. The original movie starred Jane Fonda, who played the role of the space adventurer that Sydney will be taking on.
