Love works in mysterious ways. When Sydney Hightower applied to be a contestant on The Bachelor, she thought she was signing up for one kind of romance in the public eye. But she found herself in another and is now happily married to Fred Warner, a linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers.

March 2024: Baby bowl! It's a boy.

January 31, 2024: Hightower (now Warner) reveals that she has been cleared by her doctor to travel from the Bay Area to Vegas to watch her husband in the Super Bowl, despite being very pregnant, according to Us Weekly.

June 25, 2022: The pair marry in California!

May 15, 2021: Warner gives Hightower the final, final rose. (They're engaged.)

February 14, 2021: Warner wishes Hightower, his “better half, love of my life, best friend!!,” a happy first Valentine's Day together, and gives followers a peek into their pandemic-quarantine romance.

February 19ish, 2020: After waiting a respectful two weeks since her ouster from the show, Warner slides into Hightower's DMs on Instagram.

“I would never have been where I am in life and I wouldn't have found the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with if I hadn't been on The Bachelor. It's just crazy,” Hightower told the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, per People.

February 5, 2020: Fresh off a breakup, Alabama-raised retail marketing manager Hightower applies for The Bachelor, and wins a spot as a competitor on season 24, a.k.a. Pilot Pete's season. She's eliminated in week six, and that episode airs February 5, 2020.

February 2, 2020: The San Francisco 49ers lose the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs and Warner is depressed. Perhaps to cheer him up, his sister-in-law, a Bachelor fan, tells him he should date this girl on TV named Sydney Hightower.
