My winter coat go-to is this black peacoat I've had for ages. And let's just say it's ... lived-in. Black peacoat and I have endured four New York City winters together, countless coffee spills, and one devastating incident where I almost left it at a bar coat check. It also has a button missing—not quite sure how that happened.
All of this is to say it's time for me to switch up my outerwear. Of course, I'll still keep black peacoat in my style rotation, but it deserves a break. (At least to go to the dry cleaner.) And while it's taking a nap in my closet, I can try out some new colors, styles, and vibes. These recent celebrity looks, below, are providing me with plenty of inspiration. Let's just hope black peacoat doesn't get too jealous.
The pop singer's sparkle-trimmed structured navy coat—seemingly worn as a dress—pairs nicely with her tights and heels. Winter is coming, people, but Ms. Rexha is prepared.
This is a pop star's jacket. If I snag a similar one, can I start singing power ballads?
Put me in this layered coat look and I'll be ready for apple picking, hayrides, turkey carving, and other miscellaneous autumnal activities.
Shayk's take on the Canadian tuxedo is perfect for milder winter days. This look can also double as a West Side Story costume, so prepare your choreography accordingly.
A cropped jacket and turtleneck are guaranteed to keep you toasty when the weather is so freezing, you could cry. Look how unfazed by the cold Kendall is in this pic! All thanks to a good coat.
Stewart looks effortlessly cool in this leather-jacket/baseball-cap combo. Am I cool enough to try it out? Stand by.
Speaking of cool: Lizzo nailed winter dressing with this patterned brown jacket and dress. Of course, she's 100 percent that style icon, so I'm not surprised.
