Swimming pool at Rural Retreat Lake, Pool, and Campground gets a new look

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — If you are ready to hit the waters, one swimming pool in Rural Retreat is getting ready to open for the summer season with a new look.

On May 18, the Wythe County Board of Supervisors along with park and recreation staff and state troopers, gathered at the Rural Retreat Lake, Pool, and Campground to cut the ribbon on a new swimming pool.

The county says the pool has been completely resurfaced and its water surfaces and equipment were updated. During the renovations, the water heater was added to make the pool usable earlier for a longer season.

The Rural Retreat Lake Pool opens on Memorial Day weekend from noon to 6 p.m. On Saturday, the pool will operate from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and on Sunday and Monday from noon to 6 p.m.
