Sweet Pigs Rescued From Laboratory Settling in at Their New Sanctuary Will Melt Hearts

The Beagle Freedom Project, known on TikTok as @beaglefreedom, began in 2004 as a Los Angeles-based animal rescue, media, and education group. The organization doesn't just save Beagles though. They recently rescued and brought in two pigs to their sanctuary.

Meet Hansel and Gretel. These two were previously laboratory pigs used for pharmaceutical and toxicology testing. They're adjusting nicely in the sanctuary with their new found freedom. And just wait until you see the surprise announcement at the end of the video!

O.M.G. Two rescued pigs and now little piglets?! We couldn't love this anymore! We're so thankful this organization rescued these pigs. It's especially heartwarming to know Gretel won't have to give birth in a laboratory setting. The group reported that about 52,000 pigs suffer in testing facilities across the U.S. every year. Ugh, hopefully they, and other rescue organization, can save these animals.

"You made them smile how awesome is that!" said @65libra. We'll never be able to thank them enough for all they do to rescue animals like these two. Seeing them happy and free melts our hearts. @history_nerd_33 added, "Have the happiest life Hansel and Gretel." It's the least they deserve!

The Beagle Freedom Project is a world-leading organization that focuses on rescuing and rehoming animals that have been used in experimental research. The organization has helped liberate thousands of animals since 2010. Visit the group's website to find out more and how you can donate or volunteer. You'd be surprised to hear how a little can go a long way.
