LL Cool J and Ice T have teamed up—but not for new music! The rappers are on the hunt for hip-hop memorabilia in A&E's new aptly titled series, Hip Hop Treasures.
"It's time to honor the music we love," Ice-T says in a trailer for the show, while Cool J adds, "I want the world to know how important hip hop is."
From Flavor Flav’s clocks to The Notorious B.I.G.’s jersey from the “Juicy” video and DMX’s Aaliyah car, Hip Hop Treasures will tell the story of some of the genre's "greatest artists" from every era and "items they made famous."
With hip hop celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the show—in partnership with the Universal Hip Hop Museum—"sets to preserve legacy for future generations." Here is everything to know about A&E's Hip Hop Treasures...

The new series will premiere on Saturday, Aug. 12.

Who are the hosts of Hip Hop Treasures?
Cool J and Ice-T are the hosts of the program. The show will also feature field collectors Cipha Sounds and Yo-Yo, and Universal Hip Hop Museum curators Paradise Gray and Pete Nice.

What is Hip Hop Treasures about?
Cool J and Ice-T are tracking down hip hop memorabilia in the A&E show. According to the network, the series will provide "a behind the scenes look at the people and items that gave birth to the cultural phenomenon that is Hip Hop." Some of the items will go on display at the Universal Hip Hop Museum in New York.
