For the first two seasons of Stranger Things you never saw Dustin Henderson without his iconic red, white, and blue trucker hat.

His trademark look has been a beacon for ST fans and a Halloween staple, but when Stranger Things 3 dropped last weekend, we were hit with a major surprise: the hat was gone.

In its place was a new yellow and green cap stamped with the Camp Know Where logo.

You probably figured that Dustin's style was just evolving, like every other character – I mean, Steve Harrington literally spent all of season three in a striped sailor's uniform. But it turns out, there was actually a reason for the swap. And her name is Suzie, with a "z."

When we first meet Suzie – you know, right before that epic rendition of "Never Ending Story" – the camera pans through her room. We see her clarinette, a Camp Know Where Poster, and Dustin's trusty hat.

Yep, Dusty Bun gave his favorite accessory to his beloved girlfriend Suzie – probably as a symbol of his unyielding and eternal love (a never-ending love story, if you will).

His iconic hat my have left the series, but you can still own one for yourself. Hot Topic sells them for $15.
